Welcome to Subby! These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and guidelines for using Subby’s services. You agree to comply with these terms by accessing or utilizing our platform.

1. Subscription Management

  • Password Policy: Family members are not permitted to alter the passwords of families they have joined.
  • Subscription Renewal: Users must renew their subscription within 24 hours of expiration to maintain their membership in the family group.
  • Family Transfers: Subby retains the right to reassign members between families as necessary.

2. Provider Terms

  • Provider Registration: Individuals or businesses offering paid plans or recurring services on Subby (“Providers”) must provide accurate business details, payment information, and proof of service legitimacy.
  • Service Standards: Providers are solely responsible for the quality, delivery, and continuity of the services they offer. Subby may suspend or remove listings that fail to meet user satisfaction or verification requirements.
  • Payouts: Subby processes provider payouts after verifying successful plan delivery. Payouts may be delayed or withheld if fraud, failed service, or non-compliance is detected.
  • Refunds and Disputes: Providers agree that Subby may issue refunds or credits to users on their behalf if a listed service fails or disputes are left unresolved. Such refunds may be deducted from pending payouts.
  • Legal Compliance: Providers must ensure their listings comply with applicable laws, including intellectual property and consumer protection.
  • Indemnity: Providers agree to indemnify and hold Subby harmless from any claims or damages arising from their offerings or third-party violations. If streaming or service companies (e.g. Netflix, Spotify) restrict shared usage, the provider bears full responsibility.

3. Hive Community Terms

  • Community Creation: Hive enables users to build and manage communities (“Hives”) around shared interests, subscriptions, or services. The creator (“Hive Lead”) is responsible for moderating and ensuring community compliance with Subby’s standards.
  • Monetization: Hive Leads may earn commissions or Subby Points for verified activities. Earnings are subject to Subby’s payout verification and anti-fraud policy.
  • Content Ownership: Content posted in Hive remains the property of the user who posted it. Subby reserves the right to remove content that violates laws, intellectual property, or community guidelines.
  • Data Privacy: Hive Leads may not collect or share member data outside the platform. Subby may review activity logs to enforce privacy and safety.
  • Termination: Subby reserves the right to suspend or terminate Hives that engage in fraudulent, harmful, or misleading activity.
  • Indemnification: Hive Leads agree to indemnify and hold Subby harmless from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from their Hive operations or user interactions.

4. Compensation and Rights

  • Compensation Assessment: Subby will determine if compensation is applicable when a member is reassigned to another family or provider plan.
  • Privacy Commitment: We prioritize your privacy and handle all personal data securely according to our Privacy Policy.

5. Account Security

  • Request for Login Details: Subby reserves the right to contact family owners privately for login credentials when required for verification or troubleshooting.
  • Password Updates: Family owners must update their passwords whenever a member leaves or is removed from the family.

6. User Responsibilities

  • Account Accuracy: Users must ensure that their information is current and valid.
  • Adherence to Terms: Users agree to follow all guidelines and policies set by Subby.

7. Dispute Resolution

Disputes should first be reported within the Subby app. For faster help, you can also contact our WhatsApp community.

8. Termination of Service

  • Right to Terminate Access: Subby may suspend or terminate user access if these terms are violated or if actions compromise user safety.

9. Limitation of Liability

Subby shall not be held responsible for service interruptions, external platform bans, or provider failures. The person offering or managing the shared subscription bears full responsibility.

  • No Liability for Service Issues: Subby is not liable for interruptions caused by third-party providers, API changes, or external restrictions.
  • Data Loss Disclaimer: Subby is not responsible for any data loss or unauthorized access. Users should back up relevant data and maintain security.
  • Maximum Liability: If Subby is found liable, total compensation shall not exceed the amount paid in the last three months before the claim.

10. Governing Law

  • Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
